Hiroshima

Hiroshima is one of the most remarkable places I have ever visited: The heart of the city indelibly etched with the memories of its terrible and tragic history. But wherever one roams, through the monuments, the memorials, the museums, the parks, the shrines and the civic spaces, there is never any sense of remorse, anger or hate. The entire city feels as though it has resurrected itself seemingly with one purpose: To act as a beacon to the world. A beacon of peace, of prayer and of unquenchable hope that someday we will end the madness of war.
